sebastian erras - capturing new territory: an amazing look "down"

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it."

- Ferris Beuller's Day Off

I've always loved that quote, but I never thought it could pertain to looking down. When I was a wee little tike, I looked at the floor all the time! Whether I was playing lava or just afraid of breaking my mother's back, I'd peer at whatever cracked concrete or bland design laid beneath my feet. Over time I looked down less and less as I became more confident the floor would not disappear, but with that went those moments of awe as I saw an interesting design. Moments German photographer Sebastian Erras never lost. Moments he so graciously decided to share with the world through his ongoing photo series with Pixartprinting. Having already tackled Venice, Paris, and Barcelona, Erras' most recent masterpiece is London. Using his shoes in each picture to compliment every design in the flooring. It gives you this sense you're standing there yourself, and adds the illusion of rebelliousness, like you're standing on a piece of art. Here's just a taste of his brilliant work.
